People who (really, really) like cars have a strange relationship with the color green, specifically foresty hues. We can’t get enough of ’em, because it’s a rare color that just seems to look fantastic on pretty much anything. Unfortunately, such a green was entirely scrubbed from the 2021 Ford Bronco color palette, but Ford has recently righted this terrible wrong.
For 2022, the Ford Bronco will be available in “Eruption Green Metallic,” a tribute of sorts to the color Mallard Green, which made an appearance on the first-generation Bronco in the 1970s. The new green color will be available across all trim levels, and is joined by Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat as a new option.
In other color news, a few colors are being discontinued for 2022. Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue Metallic, and Rapid Red Metallic will not be available after the 2021 order books close. Cyber Orange, meanwhile, will be available on lower trims for 2022 (it was previously reserved for Black Diamond-trimmed cars and above).
Should you be interested in these newfangled colors, the order books for the 2022 Bronco will open up later this year.
