2021 Honda CRF190L for China revealed in online leak – paultan.org

Here’s another adventure-style motorcycle from Honda, this time the 2021 Honda CRF190L dual-purpose for the China market. Following the template set by the Honda CB200X in India, the CRF190L takes the design language of the Honda CRF250L (RM24,378) in Malaysia) and uses a small capacity engine that is used in other model in the range.

As reported by Cycle World, the CRF190L is produced by a Honda-China joint venture project, Honda Sundiro and is based on the Honda XR190L, an adventure-touring/enduro motorcycle popular in markets such as South America. Design cues from the recently updated CRF1100L can be seen in the radiator guards and headlights, with spoked wheels lending the CRF190L that compulsory off-roader look.

In the engine room, a 184.4 cc single-cylinder mill produces 15.6 hp at 8,500 rpm and 15.7 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. From the photos, it appears the gearbox will be a tried and tested Honda four- or five-speed affair, with chain final drive keeping things simple.

Interestingly, the front wheel sports a single hydraulic brake disc and ABS sensor ring, which could mean the CRF190L is intended for other markets, though definitely not Europe with only air-cooling and no hope of meeting Euro 5 emissions standards which would also likely exclude it from ever coming to Malaysia.

Other specifications mentioned in the Cycle World article include three model versions of the CRF190L. These are the CRF190L, weighing 145 kg, or tipping the scales at 150 kg with optional soft luggage, while the stripped down XR190L clocks in at 123 kg.
